The Bellmont Braves came out hot to start the game with two leadoff hits from Jack Scheumann and Beau Baker, but the Bellmont bats stalled after that initial success. While the bats needed time to heat up, the Blackhawk Christian batters were no match for Aidan Zimmerman. Zimmerman started the game with 4 innings of no hit baseball, allowing the Braves time to get things going at the plate. The Braves needed a late rally to overcome a 2 run deficit, scoring 7 runs during a 2 out rally in the top of the 7th. Zimmerman then closed out the game to for the win. He finished the game with 12 strikeouts, walking two, and stranding 5 runners on base. When all was said and done, Jack Scheumann, Beau Baker, Keagan Martin, Andrew James, and Delsyn Lee each collected two hits. While both Beau and Will Baker each recorded 2 RBIs. The Braves are in action again tomorrow, April 16 when they travel to Bluffton.
