BELLMONT HS ATHLETICS

The Braves finished fifth at the NE8 Conference meet on Saturday. The meet was held a week later than its originally scheduled date because of weather. The Braves overcame a tough week of weather delays, canceled school, and a lack of training facilities to have one of their best meets of the year. The girls' team had 24 season-best swims at the conference meet. Two Braves received all-conference honors. Madison Witte received second-team NE8 honors, while Ella Hockemeyer received honorable mention NE8 honors. (All-conference team selections are unofficial at the time of this writing article.
